Anergy partnered with Elan Energy Matrix to develop a pioneering Tyre Resource Recovery Facility (TRRF), following an extensive programme of experimental trials and technology development carried out at Anergy’s test plant.
The facility applies Anergy’s High Temperature Pyrolysis (HTP) technology to process shredded end-of-life tyres into valuable reusable by-products, including char residue, recovered steel, and light pyrolysis oil suitable for further refining.
By breaking tyres down into their constituent components, the project provides a credible and environmentally sound alternative to conventional tyre disposal methods. The TRRF services a broad tyre recycling network across the Perth metropolitan area and wider regional Western Australia, with construction completed and operations commenced by the end of 2021.

Throughput: 2,500 kg/h
Feedstock: Shredded Tyres
Output: 3MW Electricity capacity
Location: Australia
